New Jersey Dental Association has informed us that the statewide closure mandate has been lifted by the Governor. We are all going to be back in the office and eager to help our patients starting on June 1, 2020. Our primary focus is to keep our patients and our team safe from the COVID-19 virus. This is why you will see many changes set in place for infection control. However, our same level of dedication, warmth and personal service you are all accustomed to will be unchanged. We ask that our patients be patient and understanding during this time.
Infection control has always been a top priority in our practice. We strictly follow the infection control guidelines and recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). We are staying current of all changes made by these organizations and will abide by any new rulings or guidance to ensure our infection control procedures are always up to date.
A few new protocols to be aware of prior to your visit:
It is imperative we have your current email and cell phone number prior to your next visit. Please ensure you update that information with our staff. We will be using these as ways to contact you and email you important forms.
Please call or text our office when you arrive in the parking lot. Please stay in your car.
Every patient entering the office will have a pre-screening test. This includes a set of questions as well as a temperature. This includes our dental team daily.
Do not enter the office until you have been contacted (called or text) by our front desk.
Wear your own mask into the office. The dental office is NOT permitted to supply any patient with masks or other personal protective equipment
Please use the provided hand sanitizer upon entering
Please do not use the waiting room furniture at this time. All magazines, books and kid toys have been removed as they are difficult to sanitize.
Check-in and check-out areas will be permitted to one patient at a time. Please wait behind designated tape until you are called.
We have staggered patient appointments to reduce traffic volume and allow for appropriate in office social distancing.
All common areas, including restrooms and all doorknobs, will be disinfected every 15 minutes.
Extra time has been given in between patients to allow us the necessary time for meticulous attention to proper infection control and sterilization.
Special Circumstances: For our patients that are minors, physically and mentally disabled, dementia and any other special needs, they will need to be escorted in by a guardian/caregiver. The guardian/caregiver will need to answer the questions on behalf of the patient. Only the patient is permitted into the treatment area. The guardian/caregiver will return to your car and be called in when treatment is completed.
We look forward to seeing all of our patients again soon. Thank you for your patience and understanding during this difficult time. Stay safe! Stay Healthy!
Kind Regards,
Dr. Jeffrey Tauber
